ORL Achievement Evening and AGM

The ORL Achievement Evening and AGM which took place at St Denys Church was our first in-person meeting since the pandemic began in March 2020.

Volunteers, supporters and funders heard about the challenges faced by us due to the Covid-19 pandemic and how we adapted our service to ensure our clients received the best support possible. We shared information on the range of support residents received whilst in an ORL Home and the help they received to positively move into independent accommodation.

Penny talked about the many ways that she volunteered during the pandemic including making and selling face masks, sourcing furniture donations and speaking on Radio Leicester about ORL.

Mick expanded on ORL's finances and Vanessa outlined the vision for the future.

At the AGM we said goodbye to three trustees, Helen and Mick Hayes and Joe Murphy, at the same time three new trustees were elected to the board, Rob Foster, Penny March and Rev Anthony Lees-Smith.
