We have recently achieved the Trusted Charity Mark award which recognises the excellent work we do as a third sector organisation in England.

Trusted Charity is part of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and is the only UK quality standard designed to help third sector organisations operate more effectively and efficiently. We were assessed against the 11 standards of effective practice in Trusted Charity, including in governance, leadership and management, managing staff and volunteers and managing money, and proved to meet all standards. To achieve the quality mark we had to provide evidence against each of the 11 standards, a Trusted Charity assessor scrutinised over 200 documents and interviewed Trustees, staff and volunteers.

Nick Snow, Trusted Charity Programme Manager, NCVO said “We are delighted for the trustees, staff and volunteers of One Roof Leicester that they have achieved the Trusted Charity Mark. We know that organisations using the Trusted Charity standard benefit by having better governance, better systems and procedures and better quality of services for their users and it is great that the community of Trusted Charity users in England is growing”.

Since we became a charity in 2014 we have set up policies, processes and procedures to deliver a high-quality service. Through the past seven years we have evolved and grown and we want to make sure we are continually improving and meeting current demands and challenges. We want clients, volunteers, supporters and the wider community to feel confident that the service they receive will be of a high standard.

The past year has been a difficult one, with so many internal changes but having the processes in place, a team of staff who have delivered amazing outcomes in challenging times, trustees who continued to provide support and the fantastic volunteers and supporters without whom most of what we do would not be possible.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping us achieve Trusted Charity.
