ORL Achievement Evening and AGM 2023

The ORL Achievement Evening and AGM took place at Saint Martins House in Leicester. Volunteers, supporters and funders heard from the team about the range of services ORL offered to residents living in ORL Homes, the importance of volunteer involvement, and how ORL is doing financially

This year we provided intensive support which enabled 24 individuals to move out of an ORL Home. Those that secured a tenancy were supported with furnishing, decorating and cleaning their new homes prior to moving in.

We shared the vital role volunteers play in supporting the charity and our residents. Karyn mentioned that she will be sharing new volunteering opportunities in the near future, giving more opportunities to support our work

Eric expanded on ORL's finances explaining that both income and expenditure had risen as ORL had grown.

Salma shared the new strategic plan which includes expanding One Roof Homes, One Roof Move-ons, providing more opportunities for volunteering, ensuring financial resilience, excellent governance and ensuring staff have opportunities to develop.

At the AGM we said goodbye to one trustee, Piotr Kuhiwczak and one new trustee, Anna Maudsley was elected to the board.
