Border House is an established homeless project located in the Beaumont Leys area of Leicester. We have 26 flats intotal which give us a combination of some 58 individual units to let out as temporary emergency accommodation. the bulk of our flats is on a sahred basis with families sharing communal kitchens/bathrooms/toilet. Everyone has their own secure bedroom.

Supported type accommodation focussing on housing related support.
Who is the service for
We provide temporary emergency accommodation giving housing related support. We cater primarily for homeless families and single pregnant females. We also provide 8 units of accommdoation for single women with low to medium support needs.

Referral Information

Referral Procedure
During standard office hours, Mon -Fri referrals are via Housing Options, Probation Service or Social Services. (For our 8 single units we would be referred to via the SAR).

OOH - Staff can make an autonomous decision to take short term, ie,. over a wkd if satisfied the person/family are in fact homeless and require assistance.
