Eric Waweru is the Chief Executive of the Centre Project Limited, a local charity that supports vulnerable people to reduce isolation and promote wellbeing. He has been working in the local voluntary and community sector over the past 11 years and has significant experience of engaging with diverse social, economic and cultural groups. He is a representative of The Racial Minority Assembly on the City VCS/Public Sector Strategy Group and represents day centres on The Leicester Homelessness Partnership meetings in my capacity as Chief Executive of The Centre Project. He is also a Director and Treasurer of 2 other charities in the city and a school governor.
Eric is an accountant by background and prior to starting work for the Centre Project in 2003, he was a Management Accountant in Kenya.He has a MSc. Degree in Voluntary Sector Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) from Cass Business School, City University London and an MBA from De Montfort University.
